Radiohead to headline Coachella in 2012?
There are some rumors out there that Radiohead will headline Coachella in 2012.
“…And though rock record revenues have diminished, the concert business, led by acts with multi-decade careers playing arenas and stadiums, has held steady and in some cases has actually increased. The same is true with high-profile festivals like Coachella, which has locked in No Doubt and Radiohead as two of next year’s headliners…

Thom was spotted in Primark just before the XFM performance. He purchased a full Kappa tracksuit before heading to the corner shop for a WKD blue.
Everyone shitting on Twist obviously doesn’t enjoy acts like Autechre, Modeselektor, Flying Lotus, etc. I’m personally digging the dance-y vibe of it, it’s a sound I’m growing to appreciate a lot more these days.
The Modeselektor songs Thom worked on are now on YouTube. They are both promo versions so theres the occasional beep, but they’re still the whole song

This sucks. Seriously, I’m a big fan of Thom’s works, but this is truly horrible.
did anyone else notice he has the same kid shouts like from his great major lazer remix he did a while back?
It’s weird, but it’s okay.
It sounds very much like a remix, so I think that this is all we’ll hear from this.
I don’t get all the drama over this track. It was meant for this mix. Anyways, it’s a bit too repetitive and dance-y, and isn’t going to go onto an album. Hopefully.
why the kid a between tw-tw-tw-twist-twist-tw’s?
you guys do realize that the whole ‘track’ up there isn’t just thom yorke… it leads into modeselektor’s “art and cash”. This is a mix for a reason, he’s adding his own touch to the whole mix…so I’m sure it’s mostly for fun.
Twist was quite ‘orrible, hopefully that doesn’t foreshadow things to come…
Is there a chance that this is the remix? or am I just being optimistic…. hmm
Clear Modeselektor inspiration in “Twist”. I don’t like it. The last half minute is pretty cool, but everything before that.. Yikes. Didn’t know Thom Yorke could ever put out something like that..
I love Thom, but twist was abit shit really…
IMO it’s only a kind of remix and not a song at all. The variations obviously show it, don’t they ? There are 3 parts. It doesn’t sound like a whole track.
I think some bits would be fun to hear in a club or something, but that means putting up with the first few minutes :) It’s good though in the way that Thom is doing stuff he likes. I’m not too sure, but he seams to enjoy working on solo material almost more in someways then he does with the rest of the band
I don’t know. Was wondering the same thing. But I think radiohead is like home for him and his solo stuff are like motel. it is interesting to go there but there is no place like home.
The song – is ok for certain mood.
Love all things Radiohead but that was realy realy bad
eek, bad track
Fucking eh! that track was brilliant. Thom Yorke’s genius scares me.
the biggest ‘twist’ was that track being shit
oh, and it’s funny cause Thom’s doing what he’s been wanting to do for a long time – making songs you can play in clubs and not have to pause, tilt your head and ponder to. He was saying that back in 2004 or so…around hail to the thief, in an interview.
There’s a couple of rumours doing the rounds that they’ll be playing the Big Day Out in Australia, come January. Also, the lineup is being announced unusually late this year, not sure whether that might have something to do with it.
twst, twst, twst, twst, twst, twst, twst…
it sucks
im a GIANT fan of what EVERYTHING Radiohead/Thom Yorke has ever done… but that track was stale, repetitive and boring.
Amen.
