Looks like Mr. Ed is rocking the new Johnny Marr Jaguar in Meeting in the Aisle. :D
Considering Skirting on the Surface was also on the setlist, I’m assuming that song will also be played soon, along with Come to your senses.
Wonder what else they’ve prepared…
Yeah, it should be exciting! Thanks for leaving the link to the Rolling Stone article.
Both songs are EXTREMELY awesome! Seriously, they HAVE to release them, hopefully along with a few more. ;D
i think there’s definitely a lot of surprises coming –
they said they going to play some rare b-sides…for some reason i have a feeling they’re going to play worrywart

Thought I should post this:
http://www.rollingstone.com/music/blogs/alternate-take/radiohead-shine-in-miami-to-kick-off-first-u-s-tour-in-four-years-20120228
“The day before the Miami show, backstage before a final production rehearsal, Yorke revealed that Radiohead have worked up more than 75 songs for this tour, including additional new songs and deep-track B-sides.”
“The group debuted two new songs in Miami, a taste of the writing and recording Radiohead did with Deamer during tour rehearsals this winter”
Writing and RECORDING
“Cut a Hole, one of several encores, was a work apparently still in progress”
Wow the fact that they are already performing new songs live is a really good sign towards a new release of some kind ^^
Identikit.. amazing.. i had spine chills at 2.20 !!
Cut a hole, reminds me a lil of nude in the beginning – but then turns into something.. unspeakably atmospheric…
both these songs have potential to become epic and reach the same level of brilliance as everything else coming from radiohead..
just one thing though.. Dont tie up your hair like that, thom lol…. also fantastic to hear meeting at the isle, i have been having this song as my alarm clock tune for ages lol
according to the lyrics “Cut a Hole” could be on older song. Ed mentioned a Song called “Say the word” in his KidA-Session-Diary. http://www.citizeninsane.eu/saytheword.html
I managed to work out nearly all of the lyrics to cut a hole:
”
Wishing I could come out of the fog
superhero pals
burst out of the sand
and I bought you flowers
you just say the word
I could wish she comes
…….. ( No idea about this bit, only part I can hear is “Handsome smile”)
wish we could connect
step onto the front
of the diving board
bend into the light
down the cable lines
roll onto the earth
reforming on the wind
two places at once
taste the air with you
undo all the ties
wishing I could fling one of those lies
lift us all the way
see that stretchy smile go
right across your face”
You can hear his vocals really well here:

Just listened to it again, got one part wrong, it’s not “I could wish she comes” it’s
“Apparition comes”
Wrong again…it’s admiration. Appiration/admiration. one of those two.
Thanks for the lyrics! I will create some pages for them once I have “Cut A Hole”.
I love ‘em both. Around 1:18 into the Identikit video they sound just like Atoms for Peace. It was also so great to hear Meeting in the Aisle.
and BOOOO for having no horn section. bloom just isn’t bloom without it.
Cut A Hole reminds me of Wolf At The Door (don’t know why). I Love it. so deep.
Identikit is amazing !!! I do love Ed’s vocal in this song, everything.
Hope they play them on Wednesday and, who knows, some more new songs . . .
Here’s a great video of “Cut A Hole” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Q6zOVumLCY
Wow, this video is a minor masterpiece. Do you think the uploader has any others from the show put up as well? I’ve searched around the profile but couldn’t find much. A video of Identikit in this quality would blow most minds away.
keep checking that YT account and they may have more to upload.

Yeah, feel free to leave all the links you want! :)
The chord progression in the second half of Cut a Hole reminds me of “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)” by the Beatles during its 6/8 section…
i really didn’t understand identikit at first – but wow – i do now
