Jonny Greenwood and Krzysztof Penderecki collaboration in the album charts
Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood has a top 10 album in the Official Specialist Classical Chart, with his collaboration with Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki.
The album titled ‘Threnody For The Victims Of Hiroshima/Popcorn Superhet Receiver/Polymorphia/48 Responses To Polymorphia’ entered the chart at number 7 and is Jonny Greenwood’s first top 10 album NME points out.
The album consists of two pieces by Penderecki , “Polymorphia” and “Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima”, and two by Greenwood, “Popcorn Superhet Receiver”, and “48 Responses to Polymorphia”.
They recorded the album last September in Poland at the European Culture Congress. The album was released on March 13th.forming
Krzysztof Penderecki will be performing the album live on Thursday, March 22nd at the Barbican Hall in London.

just listened to an interview with Jonny and Penderecki on BBC Radio 4s Today programme. At the end of said interview the presenter explained that it was a shortened version of an interview that can be heard in full on the Radio 4 Programme ‘Front Row’ later on today (19:15 GMT)
