Jonny Greenwood: ‘Radiohead will tour through November and there are no plans after that’
Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood was recently interview with Krzysztof Penderecki on BBC Radio 4 for their recent collaboration with Krzysztof Penderecki ‘Threnody For The Victims Of Hiroshima/Popcorn Superhet Receiver/Polymorphia/48 Responses To Polymorphia’ which debuted (in the charts) last week.
During the interview they discuss their recent collaboration, their influences on classical music, and a possible collaboration in the future.
When asked about Radiohead’s future plans Jonny said, “Radiohead will tour through November and there are no plans after that”. Jonny also talks about how the strings sections in “How to Disappear Completely” and “Climbing Up The Walls” were directly inspired by Penderecki’s work.

This is wonderful! Thank you!!
it would truly suck to not have any releases for the next god knows how many years.
I think Jonny only said they “have no plans” simply because the band hasn’t discussed it yet… They seem to be enjoying themselves too much live with their newer material to not go ahead and record it. I think a new EP will come out after the tour is over.
I’m thinking they’ll tour, and take a break like they did after In Rainbows.
Yeah, and they will probably be ready for a nice break by November. Do you think they will add more tour dates for this year? Think they may tour at all in 2013?
they might, but Jonny said they don’t have any plans. So I’m kinda thinking they’ll just take a break for a while
Maybe go on and off in the studio release and EP. We have to remember that they’re getting older, no one in this band is younger than 40. They can’t tour and record like they could in the 90′s. Thom however may start touring with Atoms for Peace, I hope that album comes out soon.
“I hope that album comes out soon”
Me too! :)
It’s good when RH has no plans because they feel less pressure and enjoy themselves more. In the meantime, Atoms for Peace album will come out, right? Where is it?!
Eh, I’m still really expecting (hoping for all that’s holy, I would say) a studio version of Identikit
Ha, I’m strongly hoping for a studio version of all the new songs they debuted in this tour so far!
