No surprises here (pun intentional). I still think that “the present tense” has all the signs & potential of being one of the “perfect” ones in an already amazing catalog. I say potential because as much as it pains me to even think it, I do worry of the possibility of major changes that would have it transformed too far from it’s origin. I see the structure that already exists with strings accompanied by decent paced percussion tempo and Thoms ghost chorus in waves. I think about this song way too much. Ah the possibilities. . .
