Atoms For Peace release new music

Atoms For Peace have released some new music for the Rag and Bone Fashion Show.  The track is titled “You Wouldn’t Like Me When I’m Angry Mush Mx” and is available to stream through Soundcloud.  The description for the track reads, “Mx done for friends of ours runway show.. collage of unreleased beats and such like..
featuring Mauro from Atoms for Peace and a mashed beat by Jonathan Greenwood esq”. Listen to the track below:


Early Radiohead Demo tapes sells for over $3,000

A rare early demo tape from Radiohead back when they were still called On A Friday recently sold for over $3,000.  The demo tape went up for auction last week and sold for £2,000 or around  $3,192 at an auction in the U.K. Zumic reports.  This was before Jonny Greenwood had joined the group and Raz Peterson was playing alto saxophone.  If you look at the photos below you will see that Thom’s name is spelled Tom.

The auction description for the tape reads:

“RADIOHEAD – On a Friday – (Demo 1986 OAF) Cassette Rare and Unreleased. A holy grail for Radiohead and Music collectors, the only known copy to exist. This unearthed gem contains previously unreleased Radiohead tracks which include: Side A: Fragile Friend, Girl (in the purple dress), Everybody Knows, Mountains (on the move), Lemming Trail, Lock The Door. Side 2: Fragile Friend (Remix) Lemming Trail (Remix) Lock the Door (Remix) In The Breeze. The Cassette comes with inner cover with 2 pictures of the band, track listing and a blurb. Ultraista, Nigel Godrich’s ‘other’ band consisting of him, Joey Waronker (also in Atoms For Peace) and Laura Bettison have released an album of remixes.  The album titled “Ultraista Remixes” is available through Temporary Residence and Amazon and features remixes by David Lynch, Four Tet, FattyDL, Nathan Fake and others.
