TKOL spelled out in TAMTW artwork and more Chieftan Mews shenanigans
Remember the artwork that came with “These Are My Twisted Words” Here is what it looks like when you first receive it. There are 14 pieces of artwork in this picture, when this was released in August of 2009 it said to put the artwork “in an order that pleases you.” You can read a bit more about the mysterious release of this single on the Wikipedia page for it here.
Mortigitempo user autoganz recently discovered that you can spell out “King of Limbs” by rotating and flipping artwork found in the download for the 2009 release of These are my Twisted Words (Artwork found here).
Artwork message reads: “this is an artwork file to accompany the audio file. we suggest you print these images out on tracing paper. use at least 80gsm tracing paper or your printer will eat it as we discovered. you could put them in an order that pleases you.”
Now, this was a tweet from Chieftan Mews sent at 2:00PM EST on Feb 21st:
“I tried to arrange the 14 pieces of limb art to make something out of twisted woods and temporally displaced my unit. NOW GO ON! ␄”
I wonder if this has anything to signify TAMTW being in part 2?

“It’s obvious that Radiohead has had the title for their album since 2009. Perhaps they’ve had a grand plan all along and we have yet to know of it. I mean every album has had the title or lyric of the album in the LP but TKOL (Palo Alto is also called Ok Computer). Perhaps there is a future song that is a part of TKOL with the lyric or song title TKOL or it called this because it has many additions. Stay tuned.”
Chieftan Mews had also changed his background on his twitter page to this after his tweets yesterday which included the message: “Be more alert!”.
Seems like all this code breaking has led Mews to change his twitter avatar. Immediately after this was discovered and tweeted to Mews, he changed his avatar. This image file is named “effigy.jpg”. Previously “emews.jpg”.

Interesting Radiohead article from 2010

Radiohead are making good progress with their eighth studio album and hope to release it this year – but what tricks do they have up their sleeves this time?
In October 2007, the Oxford rock trailblazers announced the completion of their last album In Rainbows only nine days before release. They then put it out on their website with an “honesty box” policy – essentially, you pay what you think it’s worth. The ruse was a stunning success, and although Radiohead have never revealed exactly how much money was pledged, it’s believed they could’ve bought a modest-sized island with the proceeds. Great Britain, for instance.
So what can we expect now? Copies of the album to be scattered across the country from a hot-air balloon? A free CD with every 10 pounds spent at B&Q? A secret code you have to collect from a wizened old man (Thom Yorke in disguise), which you then have to deliver to a Women’s Institute member in Dorset, who will then pass you your copy of the album under the table, secreted in a jar of lovely damson jam? So, it looks as if there is nothing happening today on the Ides of March. By him saying “be more alert”, we have missed something. Notice he says “the witch hunt is on”? There is a rumored song by the band titled “Burn The Witch”. Lets try and figure out what it is we are missing. Leave any ideas in the comments section.
Also the word ARREARS means: 1. An unpaid, overdue debt or an unfulfilled obligation. or 2. The state of being behind in fulfilling obligations. Below is the quote again.

The fragments from the Hail To The Thief artwork are all included here, so maybe this text is from 2002 and the artwork from the L.A. sessions shows excerpts from it:

‘Burn The Witch’ was one of the titles seen on the first of two blackboards, a picture of which was posted on september 30th 2005 on Dead Air Space. The photo shows a list of songs Radiohead had been working on during the two weeks of rehearsals from september 19th to 30th:
