LP9
On this page you’ll find all the possible information available on Radiohead’s 9th studio album. Estimated released date: 2014? 2015?
- On February 1st Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood revealed that the group would be going into the recording in September to record a follow up to The King Of Limbs.
- During a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) Thom Yorke revealed that Radiohead had recorded “Identikit” and one other song at Third Man Records in Nashville. Could these 2 songs end up on LP9 or possibly a stand alone single?
- Radiohead have recently registered many new and old songs with ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers). It’s unknown which, or if any of these songs will appear on LP9.
Song’s that have been mentioned in interviews:
“Come To Your Senses” was mention by Thom during a 2011 interview with Rolling Stone. He said that Radiohead would be going into the studio in in Dec. 2011/Jan. 2012 and mentioned the song. He said, “We have this version of it. It’s a five-minute rehearsal, but it has the essence of what we need.” Thom went on to elaborate, “There are a few of those,” he adds. “It would be fun to have them ready when we go to play next year. I don’t know how we would release them.” Yorke smiles hopefully. “It would be nice to make it all part of the flow and just enjoy it – not think about it too much.”
“The Present Tense” was mentioned by Thom during his Reddit AMA. He was asked, ‘Will we ever hear “The Present Tense” or “Burn The Witch”?’, to which he responded, “def the first one!”
Unreleased or new songs played during The King Of Limbs tour include, “Cut A Hole”, “Ful Stop”, “Identikit”, and “Skirting On The Surface”.
Other unreleased songs include:
Follow Me Around
Big Boots
Lift
Spooks
