Hidden message in Radiohead photo…
Remember this black and white photo of Radiohead that was recently released which shows the band standing in the woods with 4 of the band members holding their arms out?
This photo was taken by a photographer by the name of Sebastian Edge. You can follow Sebastian on twitter at http://twitter.com/sebastianedge. Here is his response to a question he was asked on Twitter about there being a message or clues in the photo.
@Thomography1342 Thom Greifenstein
@sebastianedge love your work.The portrait of T-Model Ford is also stunning. Many want to know of the hidden “clues” within these rh photos.
@sebastianedgeSebastian Edge
@Thomography1342 thank you thom. James was great to make a portrait of, alot of storey and life. I hope you enjoy the clues
I don’t know why, but this image resembles Queen Victoria of England to me. The hair and how it goes behind her ears, the shape of her face… And one other thing. From Wikipedia: “Her Golden and Diamond Jubilees were times of public celebration.”
Queen of Diamonds?Here is the image he is describing, followed by a picture of Queen Victoria.
Haunted Air
A brilliant book of found halloween photographs from the United States
“Stranded spectres”
“The photographs just crept into my life, ghost after ghoul, spook after spectres. First I’d find one, then another. It was a bit like following a track through the woods. They came from different areas, different people, from all over America. I’d always had an interest in early photography and often spent time looking through old pictures, but I’d never seen anything like these images before.”
Ossian Brown is talking about the collection of Halloween photographs he has been building up for the past 10 years. He says he can’t remember the first picture he actually bought, but he does remember the first pictures he didn’t get.

Thom Yorke appears at DJ set in LA
At around 11:00 pm last night Thom Yorke made an appearance at the Los Angeles club The Airliner or The Low End Theory. I have heard reports of both.
In this photo Thom Yorke is on the right, and Flying Lotus is on the left.
Here is an excerpt from the story on Rolling Stone’s website:
The Twitter rumors about Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke’s DJ set at Los Angeles club The Airliner began early Wednesday afternoon. Radiohead hasn’t played any solo shows or announced any tour plans as of yet to promote their new album The King of Limbs, but Yorke’s been playing surreptitious solo DJ sets around L.A. in past weeks, and so by 9:00 p.m. a line literally snaked around the block to get in — even though no one had confirmed that Yorke would actually show up.
But around 11 p.m., show up he did, taking to the turntables at the stage’s far left corner and commencing an eclectic mix aimed equally at both dance floor and brain. He began with an acidic minimal techno track that spawned the first of many hands-in-the-air moments for the crowd rammed into Low End’s sweaty, 350-person capacity main room.
In terms of genre, Yorke’s hour-plus set was a moving target. He moved from 4/4 thump to Burial’s skippy dubstep to Aloe Blacc’s earthy funk and beyond; in particular, he reiterated his love for the Stones Throw label’s eccentric hip-hop, with tracks from Jaylib and Madvillain proving audience sing-along favorites. (Unsurprisingly, he didn’t play any Radiohead or solo songs; the crowd didn’t seem to mind.) Read the full story here.
Here are some pictures from last nights event:

In this photo Thom Yorke is on the left and Flying Lotus is on the right.
In this photo is Thom Yorke
In this photo there is Gaslamp Killer on the left and Thom Yorke is on the right.
In this photo is Gaslight Killer, Thom Yorke and Flying Lotus

Update:
The Low End Theory is a Los Angeles dubstep club where he performed. Also in attendance was Nigel Godrich. So, this would mean that interview Jonny did saying that the band were recording at the moment in England would seem to be untrue.

OK Computer, In Rainbows conspiracy
This story was on October 20th, 2007 on Puddlegum.net click here for original article.
Ten years after OK Computer shocked the world, Radiohead released In Rainbows on October 10 (10/10). Though no one was expecting the album to be released until 2008, Radiohead announced In Rainbows just ten days in advance. In Rainbows, which consists of ten letters, has ten tracks, and would be downloadable from a rumored ten servers.
Radiohead preceded the release of In Rainbows with nine cryptic messages. They repeatedly emphasized X, the Roman Numeral for ten, in phrases such as “March Wa X”, and “Xendless Xurbia”. The tenth message was posted on October 10 with a photo of the band drinking tea.
There has been a lot of speculation over Radiohead’s emphasis of ten surrounding the release of In Rainbows. One theory suggests that Radiohead was typifying a binary code of ones and zeros, 1010101010. This has come to be known as the Binary Theory, also called the TENspiracy by some.
Puddlegum first addressed the Binary Theory in Radiohead: 1010101010. Someone associated with Thom Yorke contacted Puddlegum, sharing Thom’s reaction to Puddlegum’s article:
“The meaning behind all of this is right in front of our faces, we’re just overlooking it. [Thom] has been expecting an article much like this one for a couple of years, as have I. But I’m willing to wager he’ll have fun waiting a few more. On the other hand, it seems to annoy him that no one ‘gets it’ yet, given the mountain of clues.”
Ten days after our original article, we have come to believe that OK Computer and In Rainbows were meant to complement each other. During the writing and recording process of OK Computer, Radiohead used the working title of Zeros and Ones. If OK Computer is represented by 01, and In Rainbows is represented by 10, then we have 01 and 10. In binary code 01 and 10 complement each other.
Consider that In Rainbows was meant to complement OK Computer, musically, lyrically, and in structure. We found that the two albums can be knit together beautifully. By combining the tracks to form one playlist, 01 and 10, we have a remarkable listening experience. The transitions between the songs are astounding, and it appears that this was done purposefully.
The lyrics also seem to complement each other. There appears to be a concept flowing through the 01 and 10 playlist. Ideas in one song is picked up by the next, such as “Pull me out of the aircrash,” and “When I’m at the pearly gates, this will be my videotape.”
To create the 01 and 10 playlist, begin with OK Computer’s track one, Airbag, and follow this with In Rainbow’s track one, 15 Step. Alternate the albums, track by track, until you reach Karma Police on OK Computer, making All I Need the tenth track on the 01 and 10 playlist. Follow Karma Police with Fitter Happier from OK Computer, for tracks eleven and twelve. These two tracks act as a bridge between the first ten and the following ten tracks on the 01 and 10 playlist. Then continue to alternate the albums again, picking up with Faust Arp on In Rainbows, with Electioneering on OK Computer as the following track.
Radiohead – 01 and 10 playlist:
1. Airbag (OK Computer)
2. 15 Step (In Rainbows)
3. Paranoid Android (OK Computer)
4. Bodysnatchers (In Rainbows)
5. Subterranean Homesick Alien (OK Computer)
6. Nude (In Rainbows)
7. Exit Music (For A Film) (OK Computer)
8. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi (In Rainbows)
9. Let Down (OK Computer)
10. All I Need (In Rainbows)
11. Karma Police (OK Computer)
12. Fitter Happier (OK Computer)
13. Faust Arp (In Rainbows)
14. Electioneering (OK Computer)
15. Reckoner (In Rainbows)
16. Climbing Up The Walls (OK Computer)
17. House Of Cards (In Rainbows)
18. No Surprises (OK Computer)
19. Jigsaw Falling Into Place (In Rainbows)
20. Lucky (OK Computer)
21. Videotape (In Rainbows)
22. The Tourist (OK Computer)
You can probably match up a lot of albums this, but I find the part about cryptic message interesting.
So, back in 2007 they were also cryptic messages used to give clues for In Rainbows. I think we can all agree that out of all the hidden messages going around, the one that stands out the most are the various references to the Moon. There is the “IMS MENOO” phrase going around, which could be a an anagram for Semi Moon, and has been seen on the band’s website as far back as 2005. Chieftan Mews talks about The Ides of March which is the name of 15 March in the Roman calendar, probably referring to the day of the full moon. Back in 2005 Stanley Donwood and Thom Work released a Radiohead Calendar that contains Phases Of The Moon. On Feb 18th when The King Of Limbs was released Ed O’brien mentioned that it was a Full Moon on that day. On top of that the Full Moon that will occur on March 19th will be called a “Super Moon” or “lunar perigees” because it will be the closet that the Moon has been in 18 years.
Upcoming Dates on the Lunar Calendar:
March 12th= Waxing moon, crescent, or half moon (semi moon/ims menoo)
March 15th= The Ides of March
March 19th= Full Moon (The King Of Limbs or TKOL1 was released on a Full Moon, almost exactly 1 month from this date)
Let me know what you think.

2 more songs?
This was sent in to me today from Ben In the UK.
2 things I’ve discovered when viewing the ID3 tags of the MP3s of the album :
1) The cover art is only linked properly – and in the same way according to quick Notebook++ scan I’ve done of the files – to the following tracks
Bloom
Morning Mr Magpie
Little By Little
CodexThe other 4 tracks do not display the cover art when viewed with MP3tag(v2.48) application.
Indeed, when adding the MP3s to Media Monkey, the artwork used for the 4 tracks above looks like the same image on the official website, and the other 4 tracks show the same picture but larger and more vibrant, as per the JPG that comes with the download.
Interesting that – almost as if its 2 lots of 4 tracks that were re-ordered to make a whole. Havent tried this new tracklisting yet, but it would mean Codex forms the spine of the, um, codex and the middle of the album would be at about the 4:25 mark into that track.
Guess what? Thats exactly at the point where the track has ended and the spliced birdsong comes in.2) Interesting fact number 2: extended tags also show that the ISRC codes assigned to the tracks are in the following format:
GBU4B11000##
GB = country of origin
U4B = label/client code
11 = year of release
000## = track numberBut, guess what? Yep, the ISRC codes for the 8 tracks we have begin at GBU4B1100003 and end at GBU4B1100010
This is verified here should you need it: http://www.discogs.c…release/2720887
So, for some reason the 00001 and 00002 codes either were not assigned or – speculation alert – were actually assigned to 2 other tracks which are not part of this release…..
Taking In Rainbows for example, the ISRCs were listed as GB-STK-07-000## (where ## is the track number, 01 through 10).
– http://www.discogs.c…release/1099957Codex? Code X? Code 10?
Hmm……..
Now remember the 12′ vinyl that one person will win on www.thekingoflimbs.com:
One lucky owner of the digital version of The King Of Limbs, purchased from this website, will receive a signed 2 track 12″ vinyl.
Could these 2 songs be different from the 8 that we have already received?
