Radiohead will tour from February to November in 2012

Radiohead have already said that they will tour in 2012.  In a recent interview with BBC 6 Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien revealed some more information about the forthcoming tour.

In his interview with BBC 6Music,  Ed O’Brien confirmed that the band would be on the road for most of 2012, he said: “We’re finalizing dates now, we’ll be on the road from the end of February to November and we’ll be playing in both the UK and US, the usual ports of call.”

When asked about the set-list for the tour he said: “It has to be a set in itself, last time we went out it was like In Rainbows and a greatest hits, but it’s not going to be like that this time,”.

He also added:

“Some of the shows will be outside, but the ones in Europe will be inside and I think that’s very much a reaction to when we played last time. We played in the height of summer and compromised our production. Outdoor gigs can be great, but the sound can get diluted, you’re at the mercy of the elements and I think the record demands a space where the music is loud, strong and detailed.”

‘The King of Limbs, Part 2’? Radiohead Recording New Music This Winter

Here is an an article that appeared on Yahoo.com yesterday.  The article is in regards to Thom Yorke’s interview that appeared on RollingStone.com yesterday saying the band would be recording in December.

Is The King of Limbs getting its own quick Amnesiac-like follow-up? Thom Yorke revealed to Rolling Stone that Radiohead will reenter the studio in December and January to work on new material, including a track called “Come To Your Senses.” “We have this version of it. It’s a five-minute rehearsal, but it has the essence of what we need. There are a few of those. It would be fun to have them ready when we go to play next year,” Yorke told RS. “We can get things together quite rapidly at the moment.” Bet on the two songs the band unveiled after releasing TKOL, “The Daily Mail” and “Staircase,” also getting some studio time. Maybe Radiohead will debut all these new tracks when they headline the two Coachellas next year?

Here’s a list of of unreleased Radiohead songs (click on the song title for more information):

  1. Staircase
