Chieftan Mews is back!
So, if you read my last post about the deadline registration on The Universal Sigh Japan site it looks as if something will happen soon. And just a few hours after that Chieftan Mews returned. He has been accepting friend requests on Facebook, and look at the photo below!
It reads:
“Super Collider and The Butcher are tracks 1 and 2 of TKOL, and Bloom and the rest are meant to be played afterwards? CONFIRM OR DENY? Does TAMTW fit in there too? Or are you simply going to “like” this and drive me menoo?”
Notice how Chieftan Mews has “liked” this on Facebook…
Thanks to Warren for sending this to me! You may know Warren from his many Radiohead cover’s and guitar lesson’s on YouTube. Check out his channel here.
I will update this as soon as more information becomes available.
There will be an interview with Colin and Ed tomorrow on BBC 6 Music:
Tomorrow, 13:00 on BBC 6 Music on the Radcliffe and Maconie show:
Ed and Colin from Radiohead join us to talk about a new music documentary film, ‘Anyone Can Play Guitar’, that they appear in, examining the music scene in Oxford between 1978 and 2007. Written by Jon Spira, narrated by Stewart Lee and featuring other bands such as Supergrass, Foals, as well as less-well known bands, the film examines the roles of community, the music industry, and luck in a band gaining commercial success.
I am doubting they will go into great detail on The King Of Limbs or TKOL2 since they are there to discuss the documentary. I will post the audio here as soon as it becomes available.
You can also listen to it online by visiting the BBC 6 Music site here.
Thanks to Oliver (http://twitter.com/RadioGoddard) for bringing this to my attention.
And here is what the booklet looks like for the Japanese edition on The King Of Limbs
Notice there are lyrics listed for the song “Feral”, I will update this as soon as I have more info on it.
Here is a rough descritption of the lyrics;
Still REALLY hard to see, but if I had to take a total guess this is what I see:
L1: “You are not a being of the forest.”
L2: “And the forest is also not yours.”
L3: “And that’s okay.”
L4: “Please don’t [still can’t figure it out.]”The hiragana is easy to read, it’s the kanji that gets fucked up during the zooming process. Assuming the first kanji in line 1 is “mori” or 森 for “forest”, it would fit into the lyrics I typed.
I don’t know if the kanji is repeated in line 2, it admittedly looks a bit different and it’s killing me (and my eyes) that I can’t see it clearly.
The last line looks to be a plea of some sort, please don’t [something]. Again the kanji is too distorted!
Thanks to Paddy for sending these to me.
