Some notes from the show:

Steven Colbert mentioned that the reruns of the show would only be a half hour long and to Google ‘Thom Yorke, Lion Attack’ to see the other half of the show.

When asked if the band made more money now by being and independent band and Ed said “That they can sell less records and make more money”

Colbert asked the band “Do you guys have any Grammys?” Thom Yorke answered: “…I dunno, do we?”

Colbert: “Who’s saving the world better, you or Bono”? Thom Yorke – “Definitely Bono.”

It looks  like they have set up a website for the bonus footage: http://www.thomyorkelionattack.com/ (it appears to be down right now)

The band will play 2 live shows at Roseland Ballroom in New York City on September 28th and 29th.

Thom Yorke speaks about new Radiohead remix album

Thom Yorke has released the following statement about the forthcoming remix album ‘TKOL RMX 1234567’.

The remix 12′ s came out of us wanting to experiment with the tunes further.

I was really curious to see how the people I was listening to so much would use what we gave them. I didn’t just want floor fillers and all that shit, I just wanted to see how the songs could really branch out and mutate.

I love that there is such a culture of remixing at the moment, all this flow of ideas. It may come outta the club scene but to me there is a lot more to it than that.

I think it appeals to us as a band at the moment that ideas and versions are not so fixed and set in stone, it feels kind of healthy for music.

Problems with Radiohead tickets for Roseland Ballroom?

Tickets for Radiohead’s two NYC shows at Roseland Ballroom went on sale this morning at 10:00am EST, and apparently there were some problems for people trying to purchase tickets.   Roseland is a smaller venue, so Radiohead tickets would sell out within a few minutes of course.

There was a story on Gothamist talking about how quick the show sold out, and about some of the issues they encountered trying to order tickets on Ticketmaster.  There is someone trying to sell 4 tickets to the show on eBay for $9742.00 (That’s $2435.50 per ticket!!!).  I do not recommend buying tickets from scalpers, though if you do be VERY careful.  As pointed out by Jonathon over at Green Plastic these tickets have to be picked up from will call at Roseland Ballroom under the same name of the person who ordered them.

Let me know in the comments if you were able to get tickets to the show.

Radiohead will be performing tonight on The Colbert Report at 11:20 pm EST.

I have set up a RSS feed and you can follow the Twitter account I created for the site (It only updates when a new post or page is added).
