Colin Greenwood: ‘We sympathise with Wall Street protestors’
Earlier today Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood spoke to NME the protestors on Wall Street and about playing The King Of Limbs live, and playing with Clive Deamer from Portishead. Heres what he had to say:
On the Wall Street protestors:
“Are we sympathetic to the protestors’ cause? Of course. I understand people feeling frustrated with Wall Street, anyone would be, especially as those institutions were bailed out by taxpayers’ money. I don’t think that’s a controversial thing to say.”
And about playing The King Of Limbs Live:
“We’ve not had much of a chance to play ‘The King Of Limbs’ live. There was the Glastonbury performance, but with our own shows we can have the full production. We’re getting together this week to talk about our plans for the rest of the year. We’re having a brilliant time, so obviously we want to keep it going.”
On Clive Deamer:
“It’s every bass player’s fantasy, being surrounded by all this amazing rhythm stuff. An ongoing arrangement? Yes, it’s working out great. Obviously Clive steps aside when we play the older stuff. But it’s been a lot of fun – we’ve known Clive since about 1995,” he concluded.

Watch Radiohead perform on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
Radiohead performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this evening. Michael Stipe also made a surprise appearance on the show as Jimmy introduced the band. The show was actually recorded last Friday.
The entire band did not appear, it was just Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood performing “Give Up the Ghost” from The King of Limbs.
The band recently appeared on Saturday Night Live and The Colbert Report.

Happy Birthday Kid A
It was 11 years ago today that Radiohead released their 4th studio album Kid A. It was originally released on October 2nd, 2000. This is the album where the bands sounds changed drastically from their previous albums. I can still remember listening to this album when it first came out.
Kid A has been considered one of the most challenging pop records to have commercial success. The album won a Grammy for Best Alternative Album and was nominated for Album of the Year. It also received praise for introducing listeners to diverse forms of underground music. Despite the band’s new direction alienating some fans and critics, Kid A received generally positive reviews from notable music publications. It was subsequently listed by multiple publications as one of the best albums of recent years, and in 2009 was ranked No. 1 in lists of the best albums of the 2000s by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and The Times.

Latest Speculation on Radiohead: From Roseland Ballroom
Last week Radiohead played 2 shows at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. At both shows was @inkybrown and she was lucky enough to meet the band on both nights. She sent me some information from her talks with the band:
“Next year is gonna be a huge year for us. A big world tour. We’ll be back in New York. We’re working on new stuff at the moment.” An album?, a fan asked… “Possibly an album. Well, you know how we are.” Another fan mentioned how difficult it was to get tickets and Ed said they have been working out a new company and a new system to use for ticketing for the tour next year. Ed was actually about to say more but Colin started talking and sidetracked him.”
