Radiohead to tour in 2012! Ed O’Brien working on solo material

In a recent interview with  Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien, he reveals that the band will tour next year and that he is working on solo material.

A small bit of very interesting information this morning sent directly by the talented (and very friendly) photographer Samuel Dietz, longtime fan and always well informed, you can admire the work on the site lost-pixel:

Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien announced a tour for 2012! “” We’ll play these songs on stage, we reserve the dates at this time “” he said in an exclusive interview to appear soon on Argentine Al Tun Tun: http://alltuntun.wordpress.com/ and in association with www.lost-pixel.net.

O’Brien also thinking of a solo album “I’m writing songs,” he added.

More information soon.

Atoms For Peace “Lost Angeles”?

With the recent rumors that Atoms For Peace might be releasing an album later this year I thought I would show how similar the Atoms For Peace artwork is to that of Stanley Donwood’s “Lost Angeles” project.

Here is the Atoms For Peace logo (click to enlarge):

Lost Angeles artwork (click to enlarge):

And if you recall on his blog back on July 28th, 2011 he said “I’ve been very busy with Lost Angeles and various other things of medium to high-level secrecy.”

He also added a new blog post today:

I went away for a while and then I came back to find that nothing much had happened. I read no newspapers and watched no television and had no phone or computer. After two weeks ‘nothing’ had happened. The media truly is an ouroboros of sound and fury, signifying… But Celebrity Big Brother is back, so all is not lost.
The two painting pictured in edifying 200px squares above are in the process of being turned into screenprints, and should/will/might be exhibited in a forthcoming exhibition in London. Due to my recent abdication of responsibility I have little recollection of where and when this exhibition might be so I will content myself with ‘getting back to you’ with a further ‘up-date’ in the ‘fullness of time.’

Great moments of Radiohead performing live over the years

Here are some great fan made videos of Radiohead performing live over the years.  These videos were put together by teenagethumb on Mortigi Tempo.  Many of the clips on here I had not seen before, so I thought these were worth sharing.

Radiohead The King Of Limbs Remix #5

You can now listen to the 5th installment of Remixes from Radiohead’s The King Of Limbs.  It contains ‘Give Up The Ghost’ remixed by Brokenchord, ‘TKOL’ remixed by Altrice, and ‘Bloom’ by Blawan.  You can pre-order the 12″ vinyl now on BoomKat or at the Official The King Of Limbs store.

And TKOL RMX 1234567 (the 2 disc album of Remixes) will be available on October 10th in stores.

What does everyone think of the “TKOL” track? I think I hear Codex, Give Up The Ghost, Separator, and parts of Bloom in that track.
